About the Journal

Journal of Innovations in Art and Culture for Nature Conservation and Environmental Sustainability (JINCES) is an interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed journal that explores the dynamic intersections between art, culture, and environmental sustainability. The journal seeks to advance innovative approaches that harness artistic expression, cultural knowledge systems, and creative practices to promote nature conservation and sustainable development. It provides a platform for critical dialogue, empirical research, and practice-based insights that contribute to environmental awareness, policy, education, and community engagement.

JINCES aims to encourage and offer seasoned and young researchers to share knowledge and research through open access to Art, Culture, Ethnomedicine, Environment, and Sustainability. JINCES welcomes both theoretical and empirical paper submissions covering a range of topics such as innovations in textiles, sculpture, rattan and bamboo processing, painting, waste recycling, leatherwork, jewelry and other forms of metal arts, architecture, culture, religion, theatre art, museum studies, ecotourism, educational innovations, art installations, and many others from all countries that aim to protect the environment and its biological diversities.

JINCES is affiliated with the Centre for History, Culture, Arts, Languages, and Innovative Education (CHCALIE) of the Pangasinan State University, Philippines, with an MoU signed on December 14th, 2023.

JINCES publishes journal papers two times yearly (June and December). Our audience includes researchers and students in Visual and Performing Arts, Cultural and Social anthropology, Environmental Aesthetics, Ethnomedicine, Religious Studies, Social Sciences, Educators, policymakers, government agents, NGOs, professionals, academia, and many more.

Mission and Aim

The mission of JINCES is to make studies on African Art, African Culture, African Religion, African Philosophy, Museum Studies, African Art History, Ethnomedicine, and Anthropology available and accessible to scholars and practitioners in these multidisciplinary fields.

The journal aims to offer scholars and practitioners globally the platform to explore the interdisciplinary knowledge, ideas, and practice of Environment, Sustainability, Visual Art, Performing Art, Culture, Ethnomedicine, Religion, and Anthropology.

Every article is reviewed based on its integrity and merit by our experienced academic editors in the peer-reviewed process

Article Processing Charges (APCs) 

JINCES does not accept any publication fees. It is free to publish in the journal.
